No problem — just tell us upfront so we can plan the right crew/time and confirm any access uplift before the day.

Q9: Can I add items on the day?

Sometimes — but additions must be agreed before removal/extra loading. If extra items materially change the scope (more volume, extra trip, heavier waste), we’ll confirm the cost before proceeding.

Q10: How quickly can I get a quote?

Often the same day (usually fastest via WhatsApp with a short walkthrough video).

Q1: Do you offer fixed quotes for home removals?

Q5: Can you help with packing?

Yes. We can provide fragile-only packing, part-pack or full packing depending on what you need. If you want packing included, tell us early so we can schedule properly.

Q6: Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?

Yes — beds, wardrobes and larger items can be dismantled and reassembled where needed (booked in advance as part of the quote).

Q7: Do you cover long-distance moves from Leicester/Leicestershire?

A professional mover (or team), a clean van, and help with loading/unloading. Standard protection (blankets/straps) is included for safe transport.

Q4: Do you offer 1 or 2 movers?

Yes. We’ll recommend 1 or 2 movers based on item weight, stairs, access and risk (so the job stays safe and efficient).

Q5: How do you estimate time?

We consider: number/size of items, distance, parking/carry distance, stairs/lifts, and whether dismantling is needed.

Q6: What if it takes longer than expected?

Extra time is charged at the same time rate. If the scope changes materially (extra items/trips), we’ll flag it and agree the options upfront.

Q7: Can you do multiple trips?

Yes — if needed. We’ll advise the most cost-effective plan based on volume and your time window.

Q8: Do you handle waiting time or access delays?

If we can’t start due to keys/access/parking restrictions, delays are charged time-based (we’ll flag this upfront where relevant).

Q9: Is Man & Van suitable for a full house move?

Sometimes for smaller properties, but for larger moves a Home Removals booking is usually the right fit (fixed quote + planned crew/vehicle).

Q3: What’s included in a house clearance booking?

A planned team and van, removal of the items shown, transport, and licensed disposal at approved facilities. A basic sweep-down/tidy is completed on finish.

Q4: What types of clearances do you do?

Full or partial property clearances, end-of-tenancy clear-outs, probate/bereavement clearances, garages/lofts/sheds, storage units, and mixed household contents.

Q5: Do you clear flats with stairs, lifts or long carries?

Yes — just tell us the floor level, lift rules/booking, and any long corridor routes so we plan properly.

Q6: What items can’t you take?

We can remove most household contents and general waste. Hazardous/regulated items (e.g., asbestos, fuels, certain chemicals) can’t be taken.

Q7: What happens to items after the clearance?

Where suitable, usable items may be reused or donated. Remaining waste is sorted for recycling and disposed of at licensed sites — never fly-tipped.

Q8: Do you provide waste documentation?

Yes — a tipping receipt / disposal proof is available on request.

Q9: What can change the quote?

Mainly: extra items not shown, significantly heavier/different waste type, or major access changes. Any material change is agreed before removal of anything additional.

Q10: Do you charge waiting time?

Yes. POPs items (like sofas/mattresses) and WEEE (electricals/fridges) are handled legally and priced based on what’s shown in photos/video.

Q5: Do you provide proof of disposal?

Yes — proof of disposal / tipping receipt is available on request.

Q6: What affects the quote most?

Volume, weight, waste type, access (stairs/long carry/parking) and whether the job needs more than one load.

Q7: What can change the quote?

If extra waste is added, or the load is significantly heavier/different than shown, we explain it and agree any change before removing anything extra.

Q8: Is waste removal better than a skip?

Often yes — especially for mixed loads, where you want it loaded for you, or where access/permits make skips awkward.

Q9: Can you do same-day waste removal?

Sometimes, subject to availability. WhatsApp photos/video and your postcode for the fastest confirmation.

Q10: What do you need from me to quote quickly?

Storage Moves FAQs (Leicester & Leicestershire)

Q1: Do you provide the storage unit?

No — you book and pay the storage provider directly. We provide the moving service: collection, transport, unloading and organised stacking.

Q2: How is storage move pricing calculated?

We confirm a fixed quote based on inventory/volume, distance, access (stairs/lifts/long carries), and storage facility restrictions (booking slots, check-in queues, lift rules).

Q3: Can you help me choose the right unit size?

Yes. If you send an inventory list or video/photos, we can advise a sensible unit size so you don’t overpay for space.

Q4: Do you offer moves into storage and back out later?

Yes. We can move items into storage now and return them to your next address when you’re ready.

Q5: What about waiting time at the storage desk or check-in delays?

We allow a reasonable check-in period. If the facility causes extended delays outside the included allowance, waiting is £20 per 30 minutes (team).

Q6: What if the items don’t fit in the agreed load/trip?

Your quote covers the agreed scope (items + planned load(s)). If there are additional items or more volume than expected, we’ll price any extra handling/extra runs and confirm it before loading or before making another trip. If extra work isn’t accepted, we complete only the originally agreed scope.

Q7: What if the storage facility won’t allow access or the unit isn’t ready?

If access fails after we attend (facility refuses entry, unit isn’t allocated, site closed, or no access code), the original fixed price remains payable once attendance has occurred. If you want us to continue, we’ll confirm the most practical option and the additional cost before proceeding.

Q8: Can you dismantle furniture?

Yes — dismantling/reassembly can be added when booked in advance (confirmed in your quote).

Q9: Do you stack the unit neatly?

Yes — tidy stacking is a core part of the service so you can still access items without unpacking everything.

Q10: How do I get an accurate quote quickly?

WhatsApp your pickup & storage postcodes, a short inventory (or video), and the storage site details (unit floor/lift/slot rules).

Q5: Flat Pack Assembly — what do you need to quote?

Q6: Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture for moves?

Q7: Are student moves available?

Q8: What is “Specialised Moving”?
