Storage sites often cause delays due to check-in processes, queues, lift booking, strict time slots, and long corridors. To keep your move smooth, please confirm:

Storage Delays, Waiting Time, and Access Issues

We always allow a reasonable check-in/unload period, but storage facilities can sometimes delay entry due to:

If delays are outside the included allowance and prevent us from working, storage facility waiting is charged at £20 per 30 minutes (team).

If storage access fails completely (site closed/refuses entry/no access), the original fixed price remains payable once attendance has occurred, and any re-attempt/return is treated as additional work (see FAQ for the standard options).

5) Final check and payment

Q1. Do you provide the storage unit? No — you book and pay the storage provider directly. We provide the moving service: collection, transport, unloading and organised stacking.
Q2. How is storage move pricing calculated? We provide a fixed quote based on your inventory/volume, distance, access, and storage facility restrictions (slots, lifts, long corridors). Send your inventory or a quick video/photos and we’ll confirm an upfront price.
Q3. Can you help me choose the right storage unit size? Yes. If you send an inventory list or video/photos, we can advise on a sensible unit size so you don’t overpay for space you won’t use.
Q4. Do you offer moves into storage and then back out later? Yes. We can take items into storage and return them to your next address when you’re ready.
Q5. What about waiting time at the storage desk or check-in delays? We allow a reasonable check-in period. If the facility causes extended delays outside the included allowance, waiting is £20 per 30 minutes (team).
Q6. What if the items don’t fit in the agreed load/trip? Your quote covers the agreed scope (items + planned load(s)). If there are additional items or more volume than expected, we’ll price any extra handling or additional runs and confirm it with you before loading or before making another trip. If extra work isn’t accepted, we complete only the originally agreed scope.
Q7. What if the storage facility won’t allow access or the unit isn’t ready? If access fails after we attend (for example the facility refuses entry, the unit isn’t allocated, or there’s no access code), the original fixed price remains payable once attendance has occurred. If you want us to continue, we’ll confirm the most practical option and the additional cost before proceeding — this may include a re-attempt later the same day, an overnight hold on the loaded van, or returning the next day to complete the move.
Q8. Can you dismantle furniture? Yes — light dismantle/assembly is £50, heavy/multiple is £75 when booked in advance.
Q9. Are you insured? Yes — Goods-in-Transit up to £20,000 and Public Liability £1,000,000.
