Brief

This job was a full house move from a three-bedroom property in Ratby to a four-bedroom home in Coalville. The customer required waste removal ahead of moving day and wanted support with dismantling and rebuilding key furniture, including beds and a wardrobe. They also wanted the move to be as smooth and stress-free as possible, with clear communication throughout.

What We Did

Before moving day, we carried out waste removal at the Ratby property so that only the items the customer wanted to keep would be loaded. On moving day, we sent a 3-man team with a 7.5-tonne removal lorry and a 3.5-tonne Luton van. We arrived at 9:00am and worked through to 5:30pm. The team carefully loaded furniture, boxes and belongings, dismantling beds and a wardrobe at the collection address and then reassembling them at the new home in Coalville. Throughout the day we kept communication clear and checked where the customer wanted furniture placed in each room to help them get settled quickly.

Challenges & Solutions

What We Did

The main challenges were coordinating loading between both the 7.5T lorry and the Luton van and managing the furniture disassembly and reassembly within the same-day schedule. Ensuring the waste was removed in advance also required planning so that move day could focus purely on loading, transport and setting up at the new address.
