What’s the Difference?
Man & Van is ideal for small moves—single items, student moves, or quick local collections. It’s fast and budget-friendly but light-touch: one van load only, and no dismantling or wrapping.
Home Removals is for full house moves or longer distances. You get a full team with dismantling/reassembly, wrapping & protection, and organised planning for a smooth, stress-free day.

Key Waiting & Overtime
We don’t charge a fixed “key waiting” fee. Your quote will state a planned finish time and an overtime start time. If the job runs past that point, overtime is charged continuously until the job is complete and the vehicle has returned to base.
If keys are delayed but we finish before the overtime start time, no extra charge applies.
Parking & Access
It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange parking and ensure safe access at both addresses. Delays caused by parking or access may extend the job time and increase the cost.

Why the Price Difference?
Even with the same van and crew, a Home Removals service involves planning, furniture protection, dismantling/reassembly, and greater responsibility. It takes longer and requires more equipment — which is why it costs more than a simple Man & Van job.
You’re not just paying for time — you’re paying for peace of mind, reduced risk, and a smoother moving day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What’s the main difference between Man & Van and Home Removals? A: Man & Van is basic transport for one van load with no dismantling, wrapping, or insurance (items at customer’s risk). Home Removals includes a full team, dismantling/reassembly, wrapping & protection, and insurance — ideal for full house moves.
Q2: How much notice do I need to book? A: Man & Van can often be arranged with just 24–48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Home Removals should be booked 1–2 weeks ahead for planning.
Q3: What if I need more than one load? A: If your move needs more than one van load, it becomes a Home Removals job. Overflow may be charged at £300 first load / £250 additional.
Q4: Do you offer packing? A: Yes. Home Removals offers full or partial packing/unpacking with eco-friendly materials. For Man & Van, you usually pack yourself, but we can supply materials if pre-booked.
Q5: Can I book evenings or weekends? A: Absolutely. Both services are available 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends (subject to availability).
Q6: What happens if my keys aren’t ready on moving day? A: We can wait, but waiting time is chargeable. For Home Removals, if keys aren’t ready at the start, full-day rates may apply depending on delay and schedule. To avoid extra costs, please confirm key release times with your agent/solicitor and keep us updated on the day. If needed, we can pause and return later (subject to availability and additional charges).
